Maes Glas Veterinary Group provides a first class service for both farm and companion animals over a large area of South Wales. With 15 vets and a large number of qualified support staff, we are able to deal with a range of problems from chocolate poisoning in dogs to infertile mares and cows with mastitis. Several of our vets have specific areas of interest and we also have links with a range of specialists such as the University of Bristol for the few problematic cases which arise each year. Maes Glas Veterinary Group has an understanding and supportive staff, who will see your pet promptly in pleasant surroundings, diagnose the problem with the aid of the latest technology and instigate a course of treatment, which is monitored to completion. Outside of normal hours some vets use an out of hours provider, someone who has no records for your pet and will be based some distance away from your regular practice. We do not believe that this should happen, therefore, our own in house team of 2 vets and a nurse are available to deal with any emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We have provided veterinary care for the Bridgend branch of the Dogs Trust and Pencoed Agricultural and Equine College for the past 45 years. PARVO VIRUS OUTBREAK We have seen an increase in Parvo Virus cases during the month of February. This is a potentially fatal dog disease which can be prevented with yearly vaccinations. ARE YOU PUTTING YOUR DOG AT RISK? Please contact the surgery for further information. |
