Greg DixonWe are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Veterinary Surgeon Greg Dixon MRCVS. Greg is a small animal clinician and is based solely in our Brackla surgery, overseeing the care and treatment of the hospitalised patients. He has a particular interest in internal medicine, animal welfare and ethics.

 

 

Carla RobertsCarla Roberts-Morgan RVN is our Clinical Nursing Manager, who is responsible for the nursing care of the hospitalised patients working along side Greg Dixon. She also supervises and organises the nursing team.

 

 

 

Stephanie PortwayStephanie Portway RVN is Nurse Training Manager. Within this role she assists Carla but primarily oversees the student nurses' training and also ensures that work experience students are suitably guided. She is very keen on preventative health care and has recently undertaken a nursing BVNA dental certificate for nurses.

Debbie CogbillAt our Pencoed branch you will meet Debbie Cogbill. Debbie has been with us since 1997 although did leave to go travelling for a year in 2002. Thankfully, her commitment to veterinary nursing and the welfare of animals brought her back to us where she continues to develop in this role. Debbie was awarded 'student of the year' by Pencoed College whilst undergoing her first year of nurse training.

At our Porthcawl branch you will be greeted by Pip Francis, who undertakes the busy role of both nurse and receptionist. She holds the title for the longest serving member of staff since joining the practice in 1984. She has always worked at Porthcawl whereby she has been able to develop a good relationship with many clients and their pets. Outside of work, Pip is kept very busy with her horse and is also a keen runner.

Elaine HumphriesAt our Llantrisant branch you will find 3 support staff. Elaine Humphries undertakes the main role of receptionist and also supports the 2 nurses in their work. She joined the Llantrisant surgery fairly shortly after it opened and has successfully expanded her role as the surgery has grown.

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner, Karen Davies MRCVS is primarily based at Llantrisant and has been instrumental in its development and growth.

 



Facilities:

Llantrisant branch is a purpose built premises with ample car parking. It has a dedicated operating theatre with modern equipment installed and hospital standard kennels. At this branch we are able to provide monitored anaesthetics, radiography, dental procedures, on site blood testing, microscopy and all aspects of preventative health care.
