Mike King qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 1978 and joined the practice that same year, becoming a partner in 1983.
Initially involved in all aspects of mixed practice, Mike has concentrated on equine medicine and surgery due to the greatly increasing equine caseload over the last decade.
Huw Davey was a pupil at Bridgend Boys' Grammar School and attended the Royal Veterinary College in London, qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in 1980. He returned to Bridgend in 1982, and became a partner in the practice in 1984.
Phil was raised and educated in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, gaining a veterinary degree at the University of Zimbabwe in 1987. He worked in a predominantly cattle and equine practice in the Eastern part of Zimbabwe before taking time out to visit India, Nepal and Pakistan. He arrived in the UK very much lighter in weight and finances. Job hunting for a mixed practice brought him to Bridgend in October 1992.
Karen qualified from the University of Bristol in 1990 and, apart from a 12 month period 'Down Under', has worked at the practice ever since.
She has spent many years working with farm animals and horses, but since opening the Llantrisant branch in 2001, more of her time is now taken up looking after the smaller companion animals.
